State of the art digital modeling including characters done for Avatar by some of the top modelers in the industry.
Description
One computer graphics discipline becoming prevalent and widely used throughout the creative industry is digital sculpting. The invited artists will show some of their character and creature design work on major films and games, and quick sculpt and texturing techniques.
Modeling has undergone profound changes since early techniques. The programs utilized by the presenters have changed the way we think of modeling, using traditional concepts such as gesture, form, weight, gravity and design to create the model.

Registration
All LA ACM SIGGRAPH will be admitted free of charge. Non-members of LA ACM SIGGRAPH are admitted for $20.00. New LA ACM SIGGRAPH members who sign up on-site, and pay the $40 annual membership fee (checks or cash only), do not have to pay the $20 admission fee.
